Our Story

The Lucky Bwalya Ng’andu Foundation was established to honour a life
defined by care, resilience, and service. Lucky Bwalya Ng’andu lived
those values, and the Foundation was created to ensure that her legacy
continued to reach those who need it most

Cancer affects families deeply, not just physically but emotionally and
financially. For patients in Zambia, accessing treatment can mean
navigating significant practical barriers: the cost of transport, the
inability to take time off work, or the absence of a support network
nearby. These are the challenges that LBNF was built to address.

We are a U.S.-based nonprofit organisation operating programs in Zambia
through direct initiatives and partnerships. Our board includes members
based in both the United States and Zambia, ensuring that decisions are
grounded in both international accountability and local understanding.

We believe in responsible stewardship of the resources entrusted to us,
and we are committed to working alongside communities rather than apart
from them.
